Upcoming Trip To Norwalk Aquarium

Following our month of discussions and music about Ocean Commotion, we have a trip planned to the Norwalk Maritime Aquarium. There are lots of ocean species to see including sea stars, penguins and lots of fish. Best of all, the children (and adults) can pet very friendly baby stingrays! We are very excited, it will be a fun learning adventure.

Trip To American Museum of Natural History on Friday February 20th

Following a month of study and projects regarding dinosaurs along with theme related music (T-T-T-T-Rex!), we are planning a trip to the American Museum of Natural History. We’ll be leaving on the morning of February 20th for NY City together with our parents and children. At the museum, we’ll see real skeletons of dinosaurs that are millions of years old. We are sure this will stimulate further interest in learning about dinosaurs and we’ll have fun at the same time. See you all there!

High Praise And Pass With Flying Colors Following Surprise Site Inspection

Good news! We had a surprise inspection by our NY State supervisor and our procedures, program and facility were found to be in complete compliance with all regulations. In fact, he gave us a compliment saying we should “run seminars for other providers as to how to run a facility”. High praise for us, we appreciate it and hope this reinforces the notion that your children are in good hands at A Rising Star Children’s Center.
